3 Burgundy Blazers and what to wear them with

Whilst recce-ing for a couple of clients I had last week, who were looking for blazers, I noticed there was a lot of burgundy coloured ones around. So I thought I'd show you a few of them here, if perhaps you're thinking you could do with a new blazer for Autumn Winter and would like to make a change from your default navy or grey.

You may have some hesitation about getting something other than a neutral, but I bought the Reiss one below with a client and even I was surprised at the amount of outfits I was able to make with it! Here are some suggestions:

1. Light to mid brown chinos or trousers with pink check shirt / chambray shirt / navy shirt / white shirt / pale blue shirt / purple gingham shirt

2. Navy chinos or trousers or jeans with pink check shirt / chambray shirt / muted burgundy & white stripe shirt / purple gingham shirt / pale blue shirt / white shirt

3. Light to mid grey chinos, flannel trousers or jeans with navy spot shirt / white shirt / cream sweater / pale blue shirt / pale dusty pink shirt or sweater / striped blue and white shirt or t-shirt

You could easily switch the cream roll neck jumper (you'll see the model wearing when you click through) for a white shirt to give a smarter look or switch the pale grey trousers for jeans for more weekend styling. You can see how a burgundy jacket could become your new favourite can't you!?

Reiss burgundy blazer - personal stylist for men

This is the one I bought on a shopping trip with a client, and if you're not yet convinced about burgundy, this one is a very subtle take on it. I like texture it has to it which stops it from looking like it's part of a suit and the patch pockets which make it slightly more casual.

The colour of this jacket is a bit stronger but will work really well with neutrals for weekends or if you work in a more casual office. It looks great how Mr Porter have styled it with stone coloured chinos and a striped t-shirt or layer it over a chunky jumper and jeans in winter and style with tan boots.
