5 x easy ways to shake up your wardrobe for 2020!

Happy New Year!

A new year, and indeed a new decade is the ideal time to make some changes to your wardrobe. Combine that with the fact that most items are on sale and you have the perfect excuse to add a few new items to freshen up your wardrobe for the coming year.

The changes don't need to be huge, just take a small side step from what you normal wear to shake things up a bit. Here are some easy ideas for you to start with - hurry though, these things are selling out fast in the sales!

Oliver Spencer grandad shirt - personal styling shopping ideas for men

If you always wear - a shirt with a collar, instead try a collarless grandad shirt.

Why - because it's a casual alternative to a button down, it doesn't need a tie, and this Oliver Spencer one is in a soft brushed cotton so will be comfy to wear but is not too voluminous or boxy.

Blue 'Alford' grandad shirt - Oliver Spencer - £119 - £84

Uniqlo merino sweater - personal shopping help advice for men

If you always wear - neutral colours of grey, navy and black, instead try dark aubergine.

Why -  because it's easy to mix with the neutral colours you have in your wardrobe, but is not so bright you'll feel self conscious. Plus, Uniqlo merino is excellent quality at a great price, even when it's not in the sale, and even better when it is!

Dark purple extra fine crew neck merino jumper - Uniqlo - £29.90 - £19.90

Andersons belt - personal stylist and shopper for men

If you always wear - a black or brown belt, instead try a multi coloured woven one.

Why - because it makes a plain outfit look more interesting, pulls together the colours you're wearing, and is a good way to accessorise without looking like you've tried too hard.

White, black and navy woven belt - Anderson's at End Clothing - £89 - £59

Rag Bone slim fit grey jeans - advice on what to wear what to buy for men

If you always wear - blue jeans, instead try a grey pair.

Why - because they're a good contrast to wear with a navy blazer, they go well with black boots, and this Rag & Bone  pair are a nice neat fit for a smart casual look and are half their normal price!

Slim fit (fit 2) grey jeans - Rag & Bone at Mr Porter - £190 - £95

Grenson Leander boots - personal shopping style advice for men

If you always wear - black Derbies or Oxfords, instead try some smart boots.

Why - they look fabulous with grey flannel trousers, can be worn more casually with navy chinos or dressed down completely with grey or black jeans. Add to that the fact they look very 'Peaky Blinders' and you've got a winning pair of boots!

'Leander' black leather boots - Grenson - £265 - £212

"Not understanding fashion I was skeptical about a personal shopping experience, however, my opinion now is completely the opposite! Sarah was brilliant at making me feel relaxed, taking what I needed (a new leadership work wardrobe) and re-envisaging me within my budget and linking outfits to my current clothes. For me, I learned so much about why things went together and what suited me I feel set-up for ages."
