Cherchbi bags

Cherchbi's main design principle is "intuitive functionality" resulting in bags that are not only highly stylish, but practical and sturdy too. They have recently celebrated their 5th birthday, and started life with Adam Atkinson's simple idea of making bags using the discarded wool of the ancient Herdwick breed.

Everything is designed and made in Britain using the the best natural raw materials.  What impresses me most is the clever mix of the rough tweed textures and sleek designs which give a really unique look to the bags, which is equally befitting for a trip to the office or a weekend in the country. I've picked some of my favourites here, but check out the full range at cherchbi.co.uk.

Cherchbi briefcase - personal shopping & styling for men

Inspired by a vintage music case, this Barrett Flap briefcase will take you from the office, to drinks in the beautiful Thirties elegance of The Fumoir bar at Claridges. With a dress code of elegant smart casual, you'll fit right in with a simple charcoal flannel blazer from Farhi by Nicole Farhi, understated white shirt and a plaid "pocket round" by Alexander Olch for a touch of dapper styling.

Cherchbi holdall - personal shopping & styling for men

I can imagine you throwing this Squires holdall into the back of an old Citreon DS and whizzing down to Brighton to stay in my favourite B&B by the sea......Neo Hotel . This beautiful hand screen-printed bag will look right at home amongst the super stylish decor, and Edwin jeans from Trunk Clothiers and these fine Alden brogues will give a polished but nonchalant air to your look for your seaside excursion.

Cherchbi laptop sleeve - personal shopping & styling for men

Take your laptop out for a power breakfast in a Cherchbi Herdwyck sleeve. Breakfast at Dean Street Townhouse is a sophisticated affair and in this simple blue Oxford shirt, Carven cardi and one of Nick Bronson's knitted ties you'll cut a stylish dash, and be ready to seal that deal.

Cherchbi rucksack - personal shopping & styling for men

Inspired by the classic Alpine packs of the 1960's the Black Sail rucksack will bring out your inner explorer. It may be the architectural antiques at Lassco's Brunswick House venue that you're exploring but in this APC rollneck and beautiful Faliero Sarti scarf you'll easily reach the style summit.

Cherchbi satchel - personal shopping & styling for men

Sling this Norwich Satchel across your body for a visit to the Tate Modern for the William Klein and Daido Moriyama exhibition. Dressed in this herringbone bomber from APC in a style reminiscent of the 50's and round collared check shirt by Paul Smith Jeans, turn up your denims and you could almost be stepping out of one of their exquisite photos of urban life in New York and Tokyo in the 1950's.
