Great men's sweaters for Autumn Winter 2024
Autumn has started certainly started rather abruptly here in the UK hasn't it? I've already had to dive into my winter clothes that were stored away, to retrieve some cashmere!
I've started buying sweaters with clients on our shopping trips too, in readiness for the upcoming colder months. Here I share some of my favourites:
Whilst recce-ing the other day for a personal shopping trip, I came across these sweaters in Sunspel. They come in the most elegant muted shades, perfect if you're after something that's not grey or navy but you're not keen on brights.
With the raglan sleeve, it's just the right mix of casual but smart....in fact just the sort of thing that Andreas Weinas, who I follow on Instagram would wear....he epitomises the elegant modern, but classic menswear look and always wears muted shades but never looks boring.
Smoke green men's lambswool crew neck jumper - Sunspel - £265
I love these 'fuzzy' jumpers that Drake's do. I did a wardrobe edit for a client who had something similar in a vibrant orange in his wardrobe, and it seemed to make everything we put it with look cool!
This one has flecks of different colours in it, so it's really easy to style. Put it with mid wash jeans, or navy chinos or ecru cords and it goes perfectly under this Wax London overshirt - my current favourite!
Lavender brushed shetland crew neck jumper - Drake's - £225
Dark green is one of those colours I love introducing into client's wardrobes. It breaks up the blue and is not too challenging to wear if you're a bit afraid of colour!
I love the way they've styled it here - I often find the small details, like leaving a little bit of the t-shirt coming out at the hem, make all the difference and help to break up the colours in the outfit.
If you haven't already, give it a try.....it's a tip I'm often giving to clients and a couple of them have felt their wardrobe has been quite transformed! And while you're at it - try out some green too!
Green cashmere crew neck jumper - Sirplus - £455
This sweater really was a no brainer purchase with a client on a recent shopping trip. We had about 10 minutes before the shop closed, so not much time for decision making, but this was an easy one to make.
Great for weekends with the kids, an excellent price and we loved the marl knit which makes it easy to wear without too much effort and gives sweatshirt vibes. Plus the texture rings the changes from the smooth knits you may wear for work.
'Fergus' blue marl wool sweater - Sézane - £130
Another fabulous purchase I got with the same client last month. It has a lovely texture to it and I adore the colour. I styled it a bit more simply than they have here (I'm not 100% convinced about all those orange tones in one outfit!) in the app I use to put outfits together for clients after our shopping trips.
It looked fab under a dark beige blazer he bought, and with a pale blue shirt under it and navy chinos. Plus with blue or black jeans and a casual navy bomber jacket for weekends.
