If I were a man.......my top 5 navy blazers
September is the month for going back to school and back to normal after the summer holidays. You're more like to be heading to the office, not the classroom, but it's still the perfect time to invest in a new navy blazer.
So, I've been doing some homework for you and chosen five of the best blazers that, if I were a man, I'd be heading for, to take me straight to the top of the sartorial class.......
If I were a man.......I'd chalk up a style statement in this beautiful wool blend Our Legacy blazer. With it's patch pockets making it just a little more casual, it would take me to work and then out to lunch, and on to the theatre in the evening. I'd have a puff of dashing pocket square in the top pocket and keep the rest of my outfit classic and simple with a chambray shirt and tan chinos. If I felt like the need to dress it up I would add a knit tie like this one from Nick Bronson.
If I were a man.......I would definitely be trying on this blazer. It gets 10 out 10 for the way it fits and seems to mould to the body in a perfect way, and it has just the right amount of dressiness without being too formal. I'd shrug it on nonchalantly with indigo jeans, a striped crew neck sweater and tan shoes and add a flash of colour with my socks.
If I were a man.......I'd make sure I got a gold star for my outfit by teaming this Billy Reid corduroy blazer with a pink Oxford button down from A.P.C. and a striped canvas Folk belt. I'd wear some grey/beige chinos, and brown brogues to see me through the last of the summer days and into the beginning of Autumn.
If I were a man.......and I felt like being comfortable and cosy, this Barena knitted jacket ticks all the right boxes. I'd throw it on with a t-shirt, jeans and trainers to go and visit an exhibition at the weekend, and when the days start to cool off, I'd wear it with a simple grey sweater over the tee, and wrap a woollen scarf around my neck.
If I were a man.......I'd be too cool for school in this stunning Dries Van Noten blazer. I'd get an A+ for styling it with Etro plaid trousers, a perfect white shirt and pocket square, and I'd finish it off with the shoes of my dreams from Mr Hare, and a sleek navy Oppermann London briefcase.
