Men's sale accessories in January 2024

Have you been shopping in the sales yet? I've been grabbing lots of bargains with my clients on their personal shopping trips. We've been getting some fab things at a fraction of the original price, including accessories.

They often get forgotten about and can be the last things guys think of but they can easily transform your outfit, bringing it all together and expressing your personality all in one go. So why wouldn't you want to have some fun with them?

Here's my picks for January 2024.....you definitely won't have the January blues if you get any of these, even if they are all in shades of navy!

Troubadour backpack - personal styling for men in London

I love the clean lines of the Troubadour bag range, but not only do they look good, they're practical too. Made of recycled waterproof fabric, this backpack has plenty of pockets and padding for your laptop and comfortable straps to carry it around. Plus a trolley sleeve so you can slide it over a suitcase handle. As they describe it.........it's the perfect 'work to weekend' backpack.

Navy 'Apex backpack 2.0' - Troubadour - £220 to £176

Missoni scarf - personal shopping for men in London

They might be the exception, rather than the "I have one black scarf for when it's really cold" norm, but there are guys out there who have a variety of scarves to go with different outfits.

If that's you, then take a look at this Missoni scarf with its lovely pattern and texture but neutral colours so it's not too overwhelming. What easier way to liven up jeans, a white tee and navy jacket?

And btw, if the reason you don't wear your scarves is because you don't know how to tie them, then have a look at the video I made over on Instagram.

Striped space dyed crochet knit cotton scarf - Missoni at Mr Porter - £220 to £132

Miansai men's necklace - personal stylist for men

This is exactly the sort of necklace I'd buy with my clients on a shopping trip. Admittedly I don't often shop for necklaces with most of them, but when I do, it tends to be something like this.

I think it has just the right combination of simplicity and interest.......not too OTT if you're just starting out wearing jewellery, and not too boring if you're an old hand and already have the basics. And if you feel like being more experimental, it'd work really well layered with a shorter plain silver chain.....or 3!

Valor rhodium plated onyx pendant necklace - Miansai at Mr Porter£180 to £108

Miansai men's necklace - personal stylist for men

I've been buying these belts with clients for a number of years now - often we get the multi coloured ones but the plain styles also add just a little interest and texture to your outfit without being too showy.

So if your style is more subtle, then take advantage of the sales to add to your belt selection - it's amazing how a simple addition like this can switch things up. If you do decide you'd like one, remember you usually have to size up one or two sizes with this style of belt.

Navy slim woven elastic belt - Anderson's at Urban Industry - £87.95 to £69.95

Karhu trainers - personal styling for men in London

Have you got every pair of plain leather trainers going and are looking for something a bit different but still fairly understated? Then check these out..... sporty but not too chunky and in varying shades of blue. If you're like most guys, then that means they'll work brilliantly with the majority of your blue, black and grey wardrobe?!

They'll go with classic slim cuts but if you want to style them in a more fashion forward way then wear them with baggier jeans, cargo pants or wide leg chinos and some white or light coloured socks.

'Fusion 2.0' in jet black & blue lagoon - Karhu at Peggs & Son - £130 to £104

Not sure where to start with your clothes, let alone your accessories? Then let me help you with a personal shopping trip, ........I ask you to fill in a detailed questionnaire, and then go off and do loads of research before we even meet! This way when it comes to the day, I have a plan so you can really get the most from it.

And afterwards I can even put together a list of outfits for you too, so you know exactly how to wear each item you bought.

Why would you want to struggle doing it on your own, when I can make it so easy for you?!

This is what my client from last week said:

"My wife bought me a day with a stylist to help rejuvenate my wardrobe as a Christmas present, and I'll admit I was apprehensive.

Sarah was incredibly professional, knowledgable and organised. She collated details of me, my work and social life, photos, likes and dislikes, and measurements.

When we went shopping she had already been to all the outlets the day before and put items of interest aside in my sizes. I have never managed more than 90 minutes of shopping before, but with Sarah's help spent an entire day totally overhauling my wardrobe. She let me stay far enough inside my comfort zone to be comfortable, but provided useful insight and expert knowledge that made me more open minded as to colours and styles that suit me.

One of the most impressive things was the post-shopping support. Sarah organised alterations and associated logistics, and visited additional stores in the following days armed with enhanced knowledge of my style, likes, and remaining wardrobe gaps, picking up further items - all of which I ended up keeping.

Overall this was a 10/10 experience throughout, and I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough."

Click the button below to get started or send me an email with any questions you'd like to ask....and I promise you, no question is too stupid. (Some of them might be answered in this blog post about how a personal shopping trip works).

Or if you have loads of accessories that you've bought but don't wear, then sounds like you need a Wardrobe Edit! We can concentrate on putting outfits together using the clothes from your wardrobe, finished off with your accessories.. I'll photograph all the looks for you, so you have a record of them for future reference.
