Robertson Jessel bags

Even though they've been around for over 50 years, Robertson Jessel is new to me as I was only introduced to them recently.

The founders - Mr Hamish Robertson and Mr Adir Cohen Jessel - started off after WW2 working for one of the very finest leather goods manufacturers in the Whitechapel area of London making Motor and Dress cases, Hunting bags and hat cases, until their hard work and determination paid off and they were able to open their own workshop.

Every piece is still individually handmade in the time honoured traditional way by their skilled craftsmen and craftswomen, so you can be sure they're going to last.

I've styled them up with outfits that I think would work perfectly for modern smart/casual office wear.

A classic leather briefcase in chocolatey brown works perfectly with lighter colours and looks very elegant for summer. Team it with this double breasted cotton blazer which is the perfect addition to your Spring/Summer wardrobe. It'll look great with a multitude of items including this classic combination of blue shirt and chinos, and a linen scarf adds the final dapper touch to the lightweight tailoring.

I love the tan colour of this laptop briefcase and with it's lockable zip, generous size and padded insides it's the perfect choice for busy executives. It will look great with a navy suit but works fantastically with a more relaxed look too, especially when teamed with these tan leather brogues and the blue chambray jacket. Add this beautiful silk pocket square for an extra dash of colour and panache.
