Top picks from the mid-season men's sales
As lockdown gradually eases it may not be too long now until we're able to go out and about again.....and hopefully that means I can get back to in-person personal shopping trips too. But in the meantime, many of the shops have had a pretty hard time of it having been closed for weeks on end, so have introduced mid season sales. This means, you can buy your summer things in season AND on sale - a small silver lining in the Covid cloud. Here are some of my picks from the sales, with details of discounts.

If you're bored with your bomber, and done with your denim, then try a chore jacket. The workwear style jacket is great over a simple crew necked t-shirt or try it over a linen shirt, and even layered under an overcoat later on in the year. If you're thinking 'it's nice but blimey, what would I wear that colour with?' then click through to the John Lewis website and see how great it looks with khaki. And I just know you have some navy and grey in your wardrobe which would be a perfect neutral background for it, or check out the muted bluey greens below for another option.

I always think sales are a great time to stock up on basics and Sunspel's t-shirts are some of the best (though not everyone likes paying full price for them!) A soft muted greeny blue goes with darker tones of navy, charcoal and dark brown or mix with other washed in colours like the mauve shown above, or dusty pink or cream.

OMG I just love the colours of these trainers! As you probably know if you read my blog often enough, I normally favour sleek plain leather trainers or Converse but as things have gone rather more casual at the moment, I felt like we needed to shake things up a bit so I found these amongst the vast selection on the End website. They'll brighten up any neutral outfit of navy, grey, and blue, or as you may have spotted they go rather well with the other things I've chosen here for you :-)

Many of my clients have bought this brand and style of jeans when I've put them by in the selection I choose for them in a private room in Harvey Nichols. (As part of the Stylist Club this is one of the benefits I receive for clients, along with complimentary alterations, drinks and delivery.) These are not actually denim but a navy colour, making them quite smart so once we get back to the 'new normal', you can put them with a blazer and brogues.
