Super lightweight summer holiday wardrobe
A few clients recently have asked me to take them shopping for their holiday wardrobes, so I've been seeking out some lightweight things for them, which I share with you here. As you can see it's mainly bottom halves as shirts and t-shirts are lighter anyway. I hope this is useful for you and points you in the right direction if you're off on holiday, and if you'd like some help, please do get in touch.
These were exactly what I was trying to find for a client's trip to Oman to wear in the evenings. They really are ultra lightweight and the stretch makes them even more comfortable.
Ultra light stretch cotton chino trousers - Hackett - £110
The weightless range that 7 For All Mankind have done are perfect for summer days and holiday evenings. I like this colour as a change from blues and greys, but it does come in other options.
Weightless 'Slimmy' stretch cotton chino - 7 For All Mankind at Harvey Nichols - £170
****Update - I can no longer find the green ones but here's a link to all the other "weightless" options including chinos in other colours
We got a slightly different style to these but the same sort of weight. It's comfortable to wear something so light, and if you decide not to wear them when travelling, they're not too heavy in your suitcase.
Lightweight Grandpro turf trainers - Cole Haan - £120
Who needs heavy cotton chino shorts when you could have these ultra light ones? Classic and practical and in a lovely cool blue grey, they'll become a summer staple for sure.
Ultra lightweight shorts in Blue Chill - 7 For All Mankind - £140
Another client was off to Disneyland in Florida with his kids and I thought these jeans would be perfect as they're much lighter than normal denim. And they'll be great for summer in the UK too.
'Slimmy' weightless denim jeans - 7 For All Mankind at Selfridges - £195
Yet another client was going off on a trip where he was travelling around from place to place. These are not only super lightweight to wear, and cool because of the open mesh sides, but you can swim in them too!
Larson navy/Bahama shoe you can swim in - Orlebar Brown - £115
Okay so this one I haven't actually bought with anyone yet, but it's light as a feather and seersucker, so it looks like the perfect casual jacket for summer evenings. I'm sure it will be coming to a wardrobe near you soon :-)
'Como' seersucker Harrington jacket - Reiss - £225
Call me if you'd like me to source your holiday clothes for you so all you have to do is come and try them on!
