5 of the best men's jumpers for 2022

It's knitwear time - even though it hasn't really got very cold yet, now is the time to invest in some knits before the mercury drops. Below are the ones that have caught my eye whilst out and about researching before I took my clients on their personal shopping trips.

No one loves a navy sweater more than me, so by all means add one to your collection but in addition to that, why not inject a bit of spice into your wardrobe as well this Autumn?

Nudie jeans Frank ribbed sweater - personal shopping for men

I love this gorgeous mustard colour.....as long as it's on the right person. It tends to look good on people with warm colouring - olive or golden brown skin, or paler with freckles or if you have red or auburn hair.  (And if you don't know what looks good, book a Colour & Style Consultation)

It's also cotton, so if you're allergic to wool it'll be great as it's chunky so will still keep you warm. You can't go wrong wearing this colour with combinations of navy, white and denim. .

Saffron 'Frank' ribbed cotton sweater - Nudie jeans at Mr Porter - £135

Folk copper mixed sweater - personal styling for men

One of my recent personal shopping customers bought this sweater in the blue version. It was so comfy and versatile and he looked at home in it as soon as he put it on. The different coloured flecks in it mean there's plenty of options to choose from to put it with......I'd suggest blue, khaki, cream or beige for starters.

Mixed yarn crew neck sweater in copper mix - Folk - £150

Slowear patterned sweater - style advisor for men

Another client almost bought this one.......I'm hoping he'll go back for it as it looked so good on him! The unusual design manages to be different but subtle at the same time. You could wear it a little more dressy with a pale blue shirt and navy chinos or keep it casual with light coloured jeans and trainers.

Slim fit crew neck sweater in certified Geelong virgin wool - Slowear - £320

YMC Suedehead red knit - personal styling advice for men

I chose this one as I really like the fuzzy effect of the brushed lambswool.....very cosy. You could wear this in quite a few ways depending on your personal style - if you're quite traditional you could wear it with a tweed jacket, cords and brogues or if you're more casual and sporty, wear it with wide leg chinos and hi top Converse. Or if you're more rugged and outdoorsy put it with a pair of turned up jeans, Red Wing boots and a Barbour jacket. You could even wear a mix of all three to add your own individuality. (Style personality is one of the things included in the Colour & Style session).

'Suedehead' crew neck red knit sweater - YMC at Mr & Mrs Stitch - £169.99

Wax London Grove crew neck - personal shopper for men

Neutral but not boring, this sweater has a pattern knitted into it. That makes it versatile to put under a check over-shirt, or mix it with other textures like moleskin, fleece (yep, back in fashion) or felted wool. It'll be super warm too as it's made with mohair, so layered up, you'll be snug as a bug if you're out watching the kids at football practice on a Saturday morning.

'Grove' crew neck sweater in natural colour - Wax London - £165
