Six Summer Accessories for Men

When it comes to summer there aren't so many opportunities to layer to keep your look interesting, so accessories become even more important. Just by adding an interesting belt, throwing on a scarf, or updating your sunglasses you can keep your summer wardrobe looking stylish.

Here are six ideas of what to add to your wardrobe this season to keep your summer cool:

Mango cotton scarf on Sartoria Lab blog personal styling shopping for men

Mango ombré cotton scarf - £19.99 - I have to admit that Mango Men is not on my regular radar of places to shop but every so often you can find some great gems there. This scarf was one of them, in a lovely lightweight cotton and graduated blues, it was perfect for a recent client. Not only does it look great, but it's practical for our erratic climate too - either adding a bit of extra warmth for chilly evenings or protecting you from a sunburnt neck if you've forgotten your sunscreen.

Sandqvist Stig backpack on Sartoria Lab blog personal shopping styling for men

Sandqvist polycotton backpack - £89 - Okay, so I know you guys all love blue, but wouldn't it be nice to have an occasional change?! This yellow backpack will look like a drop of sun against the sky blue of your shirt, or a shining moon against your navy blazer. To prove my point, the other two styles in yellow are sold out so if you do fancy this one then get in quick! And if you're still not convinced and want to stick to your beloved navy, (which I confess, I also love) Sandqvist also have lots of those too.

Tyler Tyler woven belt on Sartoria Lab blog shopping styling tips for men

Tyler & Tyler zig zag woven belt at Liberty - £35 - One of my favourite ways to add a dash of difference to a regular shirt and chinos or shorts in summer, is by using a woven belt like this one from Tyler & Tyler. Remember, if you have short legs tone your belt to your trousers / shorts and not your shirt and in this case I would also tone in the colour of your shoes with the brown leather trim of the belt.

Moscot clip on sunglasses on Sartoria Lab blog personal shopping help for men

Moscot Schlep clip on sunglasses - Ooh look what I discovered on a recent shopping trip with a client......clip on sunglasses. How great are they!? Easier than switching between reading glasses and sunglasses, more budget friendly, and topped off with the fact that they look super cool, it's a no-brainer this summer! (The website only gives prices in dollars but they have a shop in Beak Street, London W1)

Swims navy boat shoes on Sartoria Lab blog personal shopping help for men

Swims navy / white boat loafers £115 - I'm rather tickled by the fact that these boat shoes look like a regular pair but are water resistant, making them great for any type of wet conditions - be that by the seaside or in the rain. Plus they're washable and look stylish too, so what are you waiting for fellas - order online now!

London Undercover umbrella on Sartoria Lab blog personal shopping styling for men

London Undercover navy windowpane and yellow classic umbrella - £75 - Yes - there's an umbrella nestling in the summer accessories must-haves.....after all we do live in the UK where a nice warm day in the summer makes the evening news! So in order to be ready for the ever persistent threat of rain, this is my top choice of umbrella.  A client from Costa Rica bought one of these for their rainy season, and he's certainly going to be cutting a stylish dash in the downpours with this awesomely designed little number!
