Spring sweaters
There's still a bit of a nip in the air, but it's looking very Springlike and I'm feeling a definite urge to ditch the darkness and introduce some fresh new colours.
One of the most common things I'm asked for when shopping with clients is to introduce more colour to their wardrobes to pep up the grey, black, blue and white that are most guys' default colours.
Check out the selection of coloured sweaters and sweatshirts below all styled with neutrals, so they could easily mix with things you are already likely to have in your wardrobe.
So next time you go to pick up the neutral option - think again and see if you couldn't replace it with some colour.....and see my 5 tips on How to Combine Colour at the end of the post.
Still within the safety zone of blue, choose one that's brighter than your norm this spring. It will work well with navy, grey and beige to add a touch of blue sky brightness to your wardrobe. Layer on top of a white or pale blue shirt or t-shirt.

A soft peachy sweatshirt warms up grey and tones well with browns and tans too. If bright colours scare you, then perhaps you'll find this muted tone is softer and easier to wear.

As an extra helping hand, read my five tips below on how to combine colour:
1. Combine two neutral colours with one brighter one eg: navy and white (neutrals) and bright green.
2. Wear light and dark shades of the same colour together eg: pale pink shirt with burgundy v-neck sweater.
3. Contrast your colours on the top and the bottom when wearing a blazer and trousers eg: light grey blazer and navy chinos.
4. Wear bold solid colours with bold contrasting patterns and softer muted colours with less contrasting patterns eg: bold navy & white spot shirt with mustard chinos.
5. Echo the colour of checks or flecks in your jacket with your accessories to add flashes of colour that lift your ensemble eg. blue blazer with orange check with tan brogues and an orange patterned pocket square.
